Work Permit Category D Positions:

There are several different options for visas, but the most applicable for the majority of foreign workers will be either the short-stay visa (C-type) or long-stay (D-type). The D visa is valid for stays of longer than 90 days.

Wage Rate:

As of July 1, 2024, the minimum wage in Romania is RON 3,700 per month, or RON 22.024 per hour for a full 168-hour month. This is equivalent to GBP 625.69/ EUR 744.62 per month or GBP 3.72/ EUR 4.43 per hour.Romania’s minimum wage is based on a fixed working hour requirement and applies to both Romanian and foreign workers.Romania’s minimum wage has increased gradually in recent years to help reduce poverty and improve the standard of living for low-income workers. However, there are still challenges in ensuring that minimum wage laws are effectively enforced, especially in the informal sector.
